The artist Salvador Dali was famed for his surrealist art and an iconic moustache. Now, 28 years after his death, the artist’s embalmed body was exhumed for DNA testing, revealing his charasmatic moustache to be perfectly preserved.  The handlebars of the moustache were still marking the time of ‘ten to ten’, just as Salvador had wished. The artist was raised from his tomb to settle a controversial paternity claim from a fortune teller claiming that she is his secret love child.

Dali was highly imaginative and eccentric. He deployed extensive symbolism in his work, such as the melting watches in The Persistence of Memory. Perhaps this was all part of a grand plan to help illustrate the miraculously surreal Whittenbury Watch. It’s magic!
