‘To be, or not to be’, is a famous solilquy penned by William Shakespeare in his powerful play, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
The words are spoken by Prince Hamlet as he ponders whether to end his life or face his personal struggles and a passion for Ophelia. To cut a wonderful tale short, their love is unrequited and on his death Hamlet says, ‘the rest is silence’.
Now, in The Earth Emperor’s Eye, the messenger Malachi asks, ‘To be or not to be, that is the question?’ Which is curious because of the link to Ophelia. It’s so weird because a hurricane in her name came up from the southern Atlantic and passed over Ireland and Northern UK.
The storm carried with it warm air and strange climatic conditions that turned the sun blood red and the sky an eerie orange red over England. Experts say the phenomenon was caused by sand from the Sahara desert and smoke from forest fires in Spain and Portugal carried high in the atmosphere by Ophelia.
Whatever the explanation, and many on the web are sceptical, it was an apocalyptic vision – a Red Alert from Mother Nature herself foreseen in The Earth Emperor’s Eye and featured on our Home page. Time is clearly running out. Only a magician can save us… or the rest is silence.
So we come full circle, ‘To be or not to be, that is the question?’
