Britain has its first polar bear cub in 25 year! The adorable cub was born just before Christmas at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig, Scotland. Footage has been released of the cub exploring his new world.
In the footage the cub is seen bounding about with its mother and eating snow.

In the tale, the painting ‘Nelson and the Bear’ by Richard Westall is used to illustrate the struggle for balance between progress and preserving nature. Perhaps the cub’s arrival is designed to remind us of this conundrum.
